Our Story

Brown Hound Downtown opened at the Memorial Art Gallery in 2016, offering elevated food & beverage, served with warmth and hospitality in an environment of creative expression.

While we are known for our weekend brunches, our central location in Neighborhood of the Arts is perfect for a weekday lunch, be it business or personal, with free off street parking and full accessibility for those with mobility issues. While you don’t have to go into the Gallery to dine with us, we highly recommend taking a spin! It is an amazing, comprehensive collection. Within the building, you can also visit the gift shop, take an art class in the Creative Workshop or dance the night away at one of the preview parties or the infamous Museum of the Dead!

In the evenings, our inviting balcony and charming lounge are available for your private gathering. We also offer catering in MAG’s stunning event spaces for groups of all sizes.
